Falling Words has been an idea of mine for about a year now. I first tried to make it for Android but found that it was just so much easier to make for WP7. XNA is a wonderful framework for games. It is so easy to make high quality games.
I have always wanted a word game that was a mix between Tetris and Scrabble. I have seen other attempts at mixing the two games but none of them seem to have the right balance between the two. Falling Words is a great mixture between the two. Especially with its two game modes. One mode focus on speed. Pieces fall at an ever increasing rate and you must move tiles to form words. The second mode is much more Tetris like. You can see the tiles that are coming up you must strategically place them to form words. Once each tile has been placed in this mode it cannot be moved.

I hope to add another game mode soon. The new mode will be a puzzle mode where there will be several words scrambled on the board and you only have so many moves to clear all the words.
